NEW TURBOCHARGER WELDER

CVE's next generation SP604 EB welder has been released for sale and can cut down production times by more than half for manufacturers of turbochargers.

The new design utilizes a load-lock vacuum system to achieve a far lower component cycle time for an ever demanding automotive production environment by keeping the chamber and electron column continuously under vacuum.

The clever design of tooling can accommodate a wide range of wheel/shaft sizes and with CVE’s unique collet tooling system there is a choice of using either a self-locating or butt joint to achieve high quality, accurate and repeatable results.

The machine footprint is smaller than other similar EB welders, noise levels are greatly reduced and the latest design of our D60LN electron column provides a quick, repeatable method of replacing filaments (typically under 5 minutes) and also benefits from having high speed deflection coils to manipulate the beam for additional weld processes.
