Titanium implants

Titanium resists corrosion, is biocompatible and has the ability to join with human bone thus making it the choice material for medical applications such as implants, pins and dental work.

Modern implants to a hip joint for example, require a rough surface to encourage bone growth onto the implant. This is acheived by 'roughening' or 'pre coating' of the surface however both methods are subject to failure and wear. CVE can apply the Surfi-Sculpt process to these implants and move the surface material into a strong and durable textured finish, making this a very clean and controlled method.
